Tropico 6 features a revised research system, focusing on the political aspects of being the world's greatest dictator. Then enact the edicts they don't like (experimental ground treatment, sea disposal) and the constitution setting they don't like (ecology - economy first), and then build a bunch of buildings they hate (coal power plants, mines, etc).
